[시사매거진] GLO&KO Inc. (CEO Jack Bae) announced on the 28th that it had partnered with Kazakhstan's fastgrowing E-Commerce platform Bungallow in June to allow Korea's high-quality products to enter Kazakhstan and completed its first export in July.

In December, 2020, GLO&KO Inc. (hereinafter GLO&KO) formed a strategic partnership with the Kazakh State Hospital(NATIONAL CENTER FOR NEUROSURGERY) which is well-known as neurosurgery in Central Asia and has been cooperated. Jack mentioned the partnership with Bungallow will make GLO&KO expand its business scope to E-Commerce, which will allow it to cooperate with companies from more diverse industries.

Also, GLO&KO has signed partnerships and export contracts with governments and corporations from 13 different countries in various continents like Asian countries such as Japan, China, Cambodia, Malaysia and others, but also African and Latin American countries such as Madagascar and Colombia.

Meanwhile, Bungallow whom they just signed is an E-Commerce platform that carries out a day of delivery service throughout Kazakhstan. Since Kazakhstan is a wide and long country it is bound to have a relatively weak logistics compared to other countries, but all goods sold by Bungallow will be promptly shipped from the nearest warehouse where the buyer is located which allowed them to provide a day shipping service.

According to International Trade Institute from KITA(Korea International Trade Association), Korea’s exports fell 5.5 percent Immediately after the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. And it indicated About 95 percent of exporters exceeding $1 million a year in 2019 could manage to maintain their exports even after the pandemic stroke, but 30 percent of those smaller than $1 million group were completely cut off. “It is very regretful that there are many products from small exporters in Korea that have excellent quality at reasonable prices, but due to the COVID 19 situation, they are not able to go abroad," said Jack. So "GLO&KO will always try to help export marginalized products from Korea.
