Dadidan, Cheongdo Semi-dried Persimmon and Dried Persimmon in Singapore
[시사매거진]Covid-19 has not stopped the K-food craze. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, cumulative agricultural exports in the first half of this year reached $4.154 billion, rising 15.4 percent from the same period last year. This is the highest in 10 years since 2011.
Dadidan, a Korean brand run by Chungdo-won-gam (CEO Jin-seok Jeong), an agricultural company, is also introducing semi-dried persimmon and dried persimmon, which were made by original persimmon in Cheongdo, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province to the local market in Singapore with the K-food craze.
Dadidan's semi-dried persimmon and dried persimmon will be shipped in small quantities to Singapore next Tuesday, and the supplied products can be purchased locally in Singapore. Although exports have already been made three times last year, it is the first supply this year.
Dadidan, a brand specializing in dried fruit of Cheongdo Wongam, is developing various snack products in the form of semi-dried or dried persimmon so that consumers can enjoy it throughout the four seasons.
Persimmons from Cheongdo, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, produced on a farm directly run by Dadidan, are seedless and have high sugar content, and are reborn as a natural dried fruit snack without coloring and preservatives. From raw materials to production lines to packaging, thorough quality control is carried out throughout the entire process, and the original scent and color of persimmon are maintained through a cold dehumidification drying system.
Semi-dried persimmon and dried persimmon, which maximize the unique sweetness of Cheongdo persimmon, are packed in individual cases to meet local consumers in Singapore.
"Dadidan" of Cheongdo Wongam, which continues its remarkable growth every year, is currently exported to the U.S., Japan and Vietnam, capturing the taste of the world's people and promoting the excellence of K-food worldwide.
