1일 조 샐다나는 자신의 인스타그램을 통해 “Mae Jemison, the first woman of color in space, is one of the most accomplished women of her time a doctor, engineer, philanthropist, and astronaut. Learn how she paved the way for others like her on @bese.”라는 글과 함께 사진을 게재했다.

한편 조 샐다나는 앞선 7월 31일에도 자신의 인스타그램을 통해 사진과 근황을 공개했었다.
